Transports children and staff to schools, field trips, and other locations as approved by the Director and provide supervision and direction to children.</p><ul><li><em><u><strong>Must have a current Class B CDL</strong></u></em></li><li><u><strong>Air Brake Endorsement required</strong></u></li><li><em><u><strong>Driver for afterschool and SKY Academy as needed</strong></u></em></li><li><em><u><strong>18.00 per hour without School Bus Endorsement</strong></u></em></li><li><em><u><strong>25.00 per hour with School Bus Endorsement</strong></u></em></li></ul><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><ul><li>Exemplifies appropriate behavior and is a role model for participants; actively listens to all children and shows patience, understanding, and respect for others.</li><li>Instructs and guides participants through the rules of riding the bus and ensures adherence; disciplines children within established guidelines of the YMCA and parent, and only when appropriate.</li><li>Immediately reports all unusual incidents or accidents to the Transportation Coordinator</li><li>Will appear clean, neat, and appropriately attired in accordance with the Association’s Policy on personal appearance</li><li>Will adhere to all policies as stated in the YMCA of Southwest Florida Handbook</li><li>Exercises effective problem solving techniques, tackles issues directly and makes timely decisions based upon logical conclusions of factual information</li><li>Completes work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner</li><li>Nothing in this job description restricts management’s job to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this position at any time</li><li>Able to prioritize and meet deadlines</li><li>Able to maintain confidentiality</li><li>Positive attitude</li><li>Must be a self starter, with high energy and a positive attitude</li><li>Responsible for upholding all staff safety requirements including cleaning protocols throughout the day, as required by my department.</li><li>All other duties as required necessary.</li></ul>",
