What you’ll do…
The Quality Inspector will be a member of the Quality Team, reporting to the Quality Manager in Manufacturing. This position will be responsible for ensuring that incoming material, parts, components, and final product meet all designated quality specifications. The Quality Inspector will also coordinate product acceptance, reporting of inspection results and production/test data, while working with the Manager Manufacturing and the Quality Manager to drive production quality and continuous improvement.
This position supports our Overnight shift (10:00 pm - 5:00 am CT) , so we’re looking for candidates who are comfortable working these hours. This is an hourly role offering competitive pay and shift differential.
Key responsibilities:
Inspecting and approving incoming materials, parts, and components by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Inspecting in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Approving finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work. Documenting inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database. Keeping measurement and testing equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs. Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Providing user feedback to the development teams on product quality and defects.
