We also perform Inspection work/services on utility project throughout the United States.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Northern Lights Locating and Inspection Inc</strong>&nbsp;is looking for Utility Locators.&nbsp; We offer competitive pay, great benefits and&nbsp; a paid time off program.&nbsp; We focus on allowing our locators to run their area independently as needed but there is a support system in place for them as well.&nbsp; Please apply and join the Northern Lights Team!<br />\r\n<br />\r\n<strong>NORTHERN LIGHTS &nbsp;UTILITY LOCATOR</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>STATUS:&nbsp;</strong>Full Time, Employee</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE</strong>: 2 years Locator experience required.<br />\r\n<br />\r\n<strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Locate underground utilities for clients and property owners based on 811 tickets per 811 dig laws</li>\r\n\t<li>Uses utility maps, as-built civil engineering drawings, G.I.S. information, and various pipe and electronic locating equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Utilizes flags and/or paint to mark the location of underground utilities</li>\r\n\t<li>Prepares various reports, forms, and memos to document work completed, and problems encountered and/or resolved</li>\r\n\t<li>Take pictures of utility line located for each 811 ticket</li>\r\n\t<li>Investigates and prepares detailed written documentation on excavations that result in damage to underground utilities</li>\r\n\t<li>Candidates need to be comfortable with using Cell phone-based app to record locating marks for clients property for excavators and property owners.&nbsp; App holds photos and enables locators to complete all documents needed for locate</li>\r\n\t<li>On-call rotation</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Know best locate practices, procedures and 811 law&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Read and interpret utility maps and as-built civil engineering drawings</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain cleanliness and good operating condition of all provided equipment and vehicle</li>\r\n\t<li>Ability to maintain a Tobacco free vehicle</li>\r\n\t<li>Locate underground utilities using multiple methods of locating</li>\r\n\t<li>Understand and carry out written and oral instructions</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintain small- to medium-sized equipment and trucks</li>\r\n\t<li>Complete paperwork and documentation</li>\r\n\t<li>Communicate and use interpersonal skills to interact with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc., to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction</li>\r\n\t<li>Attention to Detail</li>\r\n\t<li>Be able to work in all weather conditions</li>\r\n\t<li>Willingness to Travel (75% +)</li>\r\n\t<li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li>\r\n\t<li>Able to pass a drug screen</li>\r\n\t<li>Must have valid Driver&rsquo;s License and the ability to obtain a DOT physical certification.&nbsp;</li>\r\n\t<li>Must be available to work varying schedules and overtime</li>\r\n\t<li>Maintains regular attendance and punctuality</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><br />\r\n<strong>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Self-motivated and able to learn quickly</li>\r\n\t<li>Team oriented and have exemplary character.</li>\r\n\t<li>Safety focused</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p><br />\r\n<strong>NORTHERN LIGHTS OFFERS:</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Competitive pay</li>\r\n\t<li>Paid Holidays and Vacation Time.</li>\r\n\t<li>Affordable benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD and Life</li>\r\n\t<li>401(k) Plan &ndash; with match!</li>\r\n</ul>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\r\n",
