This position works with emerging technologies in the material handling field, such as robotics, mobile robotics, autonomous vehicles and automated storage\\retrieval systems.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><p><em><strong>Concepting</strong></em></p><ul><li>Support the design of automated material handling systems that align with customer needs.</li><li>Collaborate with the sales team members &amp; Customers to evaluate the Customer needs and develop the best solution for the Customer</li><li>Visit Customer sites to understand customer environments and gather information needed for system designs.</li><li>Assist in research and analysis of industry trends to support the design of competitive, cutting-edge solutions.</li><li>Participate in internal brainstorming sessions to identify new ideas and solutions</li></ul><p><em><strong>Proposals</strong></em></p><ul><li>Assist in developing proposal documents, including material flow diagrams and system design concepts.</li><li>Help ensure that project timelines and deliverables are met, while learning how to manage priorities effectively.</li></ul><p><em><strong>Costing</strong></em></p><ul><li>Assist in the generation of cost estimates for proposed material handling integration projects.</li></ul><p><em><strong>Department</strong></em></p><ul><li>Participate in process improvement projects as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Tool Usage</strong></p><ul><li>Utilize AutoCAD, Sketchup, Configura and MS Suite to clearly communicate concepts.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE &amp; SKILLS REQUIREMENTS</strong></p><p><em><strong>Aptitude</strong></em></p><ul><li>Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the field of automated systems design.</li><li>Basic understanding of material handling systems and their components.</li><li>Detail-oriented with the ability to support and assist in managing project deadlines</li><li>Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><p><em><strong>Knowledge</strong></em></p><ul><li>Familiarity with various drawing and MS suite software programs.</li><li>Familiarity in the application of data analysis and modeling tools. associated with automated distribution center designs.</li><li>Familiarity in designing automated material handling systems.</li></ul><p><em><strong>Capability</strong></em></p><ul><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal and external communication.</li><li>Eagerness to learn new technologies and apply them in practical settings.</li><li>Collaborate well with others in the department and across the organization.</li><li>Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES</strong></p><ul><li>Proactive communication</li><li>Demonstrate initiative</li><li>Motivated to continuously improve personally and the department</li><li>Desire to exceed internal and external Customer expectations</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li></ul><p><strong>Why work for Storage Solutions – A Jungheinrich Company?</strong></p><p>Our greatest asset is our people.
