S/he utilizes &nbsp;&nbsp;nursing skills to assess and evaluate specific patient needs, including &nbsp;&nbsp;physiological and psychological changes in the patient’s condition, works &nbsp;&nbsp;with and supports physicians and mid-level providers in the delivery of &nbsp;&nbsp;timely and high quality care to the patients in the office.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Conducts focused intake processes utilizing the clinic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and appropriately documents patient assessments. Collects, analyzes, and interprets clinical data/information.&nbsp;</li><li>Reviews and interprets diagnostic studies, with a focus on critical values and timely action items associated with those outcomes to patient, physicians and mid-level providers.</li><li>Monitors the outcomes of all scheduled tests and procedures to ensure timely completion, including timely notifications of test and procedure outcomes for physicians and mid-level providers.</li><li>Directs patients and families for procedures and testing.</li><li>Provides telephone advice and triage to patients using physician and mid-level provider approved protocols.</li><li>Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources to ensure optimal healthcare outcomes.</li><li>Maintains a safe comfortable therapeutic clinic environment, maintaining clinic and patient confidentiality and quality standards.
