Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified%0Aapplicants for their Adult Education Adjunct Instructor Youth Build position,%0Ain the Student and Academic Affairs division.%0AThis position is located ATC’s (Main Campus), which is just south of Downtown%0AAtlanta/Hartsfiled-Jackson Airport. %0A%0A T he Medical Assisting instructor is a full-time position within%0Athe Medical Assisting Department, Division of Health and Public Safety. This position requires a dynamic personality%0Aand a passion for helping others succeed. Responsibilities include delivers%0Aclass and/or clinical instruction according to an%0Aapproved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods;%0Adevelops daily lesson plans; advises and tutors students; maintains current and%0Aaccurate attendance and grade records; assess student achievement and ensure accuracy of all%0Astudent records; remains current in applicable program%0Ateaching fields; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and%0Ain-service training sessions annually. Participates in college activities such%0Aas faculty meetings, commencement and convocation activities, new student%0Aorientations, and advisory board meetings. The instructor will%0Abe instrumental in adhering to the Medical Assisting curriculum and recommends%0Achanges regarding textbooks and other aspects of the curriculum. The instructor is also required to comply with Technical College System of Georgia, certificating%0Abodies, accreditation standards as well as institutional policies and%0Aprocedures. Minimum Qualifications Associates Degree from%0Aan accredited private or public postsecondary college or completion of an%0Aequivalent military, medical/hospital based, or company-sponsored training%0Aprogram. Three years paid work experience in healthcare%0Awithin the past seven (7) year, must include competencies, skills and knowledge%0Alevels that the instructor will be able to teach, occupational experience must%0Ameet current requirements of appropriate licensing boards for area of%0Ainstruction. Preferred qualification 40 hours ambulatory care setting performing. Strong%0Aknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Strong oral and%0Awritten communication skills. Excellent%0Ainterpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to teach%0Amorning and/or evening courses and substitute other classes as needed. Certifications/Licenses: CMA%0A(Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) or NCMA (National%0ACertified Medical Assistant) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or above.
