    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Ruby Developer to support a major national laboratory. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The successful candidate will work with a team developing and/or maintaining web-based applications using tools such as Ruby on Rails or Java. </li>\n <li>You will analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities</li>\n <li>Translate detailed design into application systems</li>\n <li> Test, debug, and refine applications to produce the required product</li>\n <li>Prepare required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation</li>\n <li>Enhance applications to improve performance and add functionality; and provide technical direction to engineers to ensure program deadlines are met.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n <li>BS/BA and 5years of experience in Linux environments, relational database, experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, Data Structures, and Algorithms.</li>\n <li>Or in lieu of degree 11 years of related work experience</li>\n <li>US. citizenship is required </li>\n <li>Must have an Active U.S. Department of Energy Clearance</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Required Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge of, and desire to follow IT Operations best practices and procedures such as issue management and incident response.</li>\n <li>5 years experience working in full stack application development</li>\n <li>5 years experience developing web-based applications using tools - such as Ruby on Rails or Java</li>\n <li>Experience using Agile development methodologies</li>\n <li>Effective oral and written communications skills along with a strong customer service commitment</li>\n <li>Familiar with information security best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Desired skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience integrating front end and back-end APIs to allow agnostic use of other front-end frameworks</li>\n <li>Experience with Rails testing frameworks such as Rspec and Git</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About us</strong>:</p>\n<p>Edgewater Federal Solutions is a privately held government contracting firm located in Frederick, MD.
