    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p data-pasted=\"true\">Pet Nutritionist</p><p>The Pet Nutritionist will play a key role in ensuring nutrition compliance of all pet formulations at NaturPak Pet. Through engaging in relationships with existing and new ingredient suppliers, the Pet Nutritionist will use their ability to assess and pro-actively provide ingredient guidance to the entire organization.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities</p><p>&bull; Understand R&amp;D process from concept to commercialization.</p><p>&bull; Assist in the development of new products within cost and nutritional guidelines.</p><p>&bull; Collaborate with internal/external partners to ensure our nutrient database is accurate</p><p>&bull; Support Regulatory and Compliance by providing formulation information for product registration for export and reviewing bags for regulatory compliance.</p><p>&bull; Pro-actively build business relationships with customers to ensure compliance of existing formulations and continuous quality improvement.</p><p>&bull; Through understanding global regulatory requirements, provide guidance on new and existing ingredients and ingredient specifications, to further support the Nutrition Strategy and direction.</p><p>&bull; Support and maintain familiarity with the latest developments in appropriate areas so that new products and product improvements are truly &ldquo;state of the art.&rdquo;</p><p>&bull; Improve current products regarding both cost and quality.</p><p>&bull; Liaise with NaturPak Pet&rsquo;s quality assurance program to ensure that procedures, standards, and systems are well-designed and appropriately executed.</p><p>&bull; Establish and oversee cadence of analytical testing and degree of testing with risk and cost in mind.</p><p>&bull; Attend training, tradeshows, and strategic industry meetings</p><p>&bull; Occasionally visit customers as needed by customer service / sales department.</p><p>&bull; Develop ingredient and finished good testing programs to ensure AAFCO compliance, nutritional accuracy, and understand ingredient variation.</p><p>&bull; Establish cadence of testing and degree of testing with risk and cost in mind.</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications</p><p>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in companion animal nutrition, animal science, nutrition, food science or related discipline is required; a Master of Science degree is preferred.</p><p>&bull; Proven effective and positive technical communicator, both in writing and verbally</p><p>&bull; Thrives in a multi-tasking, research and &ldquo;behind-the-scenes&rdquo; environment, where attention to detail is paramount</p><p>&bull; Proficient in Microsoft Office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook</p><p>Technical Qualifications</p><p>&bull; Experienced and knowledgeable on global regulations pertaining to pet food (specifically in Canada, USA and Europe).</p><p>&bull; Knowledge of global food safety certification programs (HACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO). &bull; Proficient in commercial pet food formulation software (Concept 5).</p></div>\n",
