Come join Arcwood and be part of our legacy of environmental leadership!</p>\n<h2>Essential Functions & Responsibilities </h2>\n<p><strong>Manager, </strong><strong>Application Development</strong>The Manager, Application Development is responsible for leading the design, development, and ongoing support of Arcwood’s internally developed and operations-focused applications. This role oversees a team of developers and ensures that application solutions align to business priorities, deliver high value, and support scalable, integrated operations.</p>\n<p>This role acts as the primary technology leader for application development – owning delivery, team performance, and the evolution of the operations systems. The Manager will also help evolve Arcwood’s application development capability by maintaining and enhancing Arcwood’s ERP as a core operational platform while enabling integration with Arcwood’s broader application roadmap and expanding SaaS application landscape. </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>This position is based in our <strong>Indianapolis corporate</strong> office, we offer a hybrid schedule with 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Team Leadership & Talent Management</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of application developers supporting business critical applications</li>\n <li>Establishes clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards aligned to business goals</li>\n <li>Assesses team capabilities and proactively identifies skill gaps across development, architecture, and support functions</li>\n <li>Develops and executes resourcing strategies, including hiring full-time resources where strategic capability is required and leveraging third-party partners for specialized skills, capacity augmentation, or project-based work</li>\n <li>Builds a scalable team model that balances internal expertise with external partnerships</li>\n <li>Leads and develops the team through a transition from primarily supporting MMS development to supporting MMS, integrations, APIs, data flows, and extensions across Arcwood’s broader application ecosystem </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><em>Application Development & Delivery</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages delivery of application development, including design, build, testing, deployment, and support</li>\n <li>Develops project timelines and identifies project tasks and procedures accordingly</li>\n <li>Owns end-to-end delivery of application development for MMS, ensuring solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, and timelines </li>\n <li>Partners with Application Delivery leads to prioritize initiatives and manage demand effectively </li>\n <li>Ensures alignment and integration across business-critical systems to support end-to-end operational workflows and data consistency </li>\n <li>Maintains accountability for application performance, stability, and ongoing support of core systems</li>\n <li>Applies AI tools and industry best practices to optimize development workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions</li>\n <li>Partners with Application Architecture, Application Delivery leads, business stakeholders, and vendors to translate Arcwood’s application roadmap into practical development priorities and delivered solutions</li>\n <li>Ensures Arcwood’s ERP remains stable, supported, and aligned to business needs while enabling integration with new SaaS platforms, enterprise workflows, and modern application architecture patterns</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em> </em></p>\n<p><em>Governance, Process & Continuous Improvement</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Establishes and enforces governance over application development, change management, and release processes</li>\n <li>Ensures proper documentation, testing, and controls are consistently applied</li>\n <li>Drives continuous improvement in development practices, delivery velocity, and team effectiveness</li>\n <li>Monitors and reports on delivery performance, capacity, and project outcomes</li>\n <li>Improves development practices to support a more integrated application environment, including stronger documentation, testing discipline, release coordination, and cross-system impact awareness</li>\n <li>Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times</li>\n <li>Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education </h2>- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (required)\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years of experience in IT management and/or senior software architecture and development (required) </li>\n <li>5+ years of development experience using .NET; experience and expertise in REST and RPC APIs (required) </li>\n <li>5+ years of development experience producing code using .NET languages e.g. C#, VB, .NET (required)</li>\n <li>Experience with Oracle, PLSQL and ERP (required)</li>\n <li>Experience designing and executing database changes in Oracle (required) </li>\n <li>Experience with ‘start’ and ‘stop’ primary application components under regular operation in Windows and Linux (required) </li>\n <li>Experience with architecture styles/APIs (ReactJS), TypeScript Java, JavaScript, and SQL (preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity</h2>Arcwood offers stability you can count on and opportunities to grow.
