    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p>*<strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">*Please note, this position will be focused on activities within the area of Columbus, GA, LaGrange, GA, Opelika, AL, Auburn, AL, and other towns surrounding these cities.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong></p><p>The Foreman is primarily responsible for supervising rigging services for on-site and mobile customers where field work or construction knowledge is required. The Foreman will supervise crews directly, ensuring timeliness and quality of work, in compliance with safety standards and customer specifications as required per job.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Supervise various phases of rigging and crating tasks, and tailor supervisory activities to meet job specifications.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ensure all customer and MEI requirements are being followed.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to work under pressure and remain professional while coordinating numerous activities.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Assist with hands-on or in-the-moment training for new and existing staff.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to promote and support teamwork and cooperation within and between the crews.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Establish clear performance expectations and review work performances at various stages and on job completions.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Maintains tools, gauges, and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner and instruct others in the proper use and care of tools and equipment.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Represent MEI professionally, courteously, and confidently with an orientation towards customer service and solutions.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Address minor employee concerns, scheduling conflicts, or manpower issues.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Offer job-related guidance to field personnel and clarify instruction when necessary.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to communicate job scope, big picture details, and envision successful outcomes. Provide information or generate reports regarding differing jobs or projects, per management needs.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations and encourages this with others.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Travel to various job sites frequently and oversee work and assigned personnel as appropriate.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Performs other duties as necessary or requested.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications (Experience, Skills, and Education):</u></strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>HS Diploma or GED Equivalent; 3 years of experience as rigging foreman and/or general foreman.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or schematics as needed.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Knowledge of the content and structure of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words; must be able to keep accurate and legible logs and records or convey information, in English. Bilingual in English / Spanish helpful but not required.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to use mathematical concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in various units of measurement - using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of the fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry helpful. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Basic computer knowledge using a Windows based system. Familiar with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and/ or company-specific software, or the ability to learn.</p><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family:Symbol;\">&middot;&nbsp;</span>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license and be insurable.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:</u></strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently climb ladders or stairs, stand; walk; sit; lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; use fingers and hands to adjust straps, move equipment and perform daily duties; reach with hands and arms; pull handles and grasp equipment; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
