Description
At Stoke, we believe a thriving space economy will enable a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future here on Earth. That is why we’re building Nova, our fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle. Designed for daily flight, Nova tackles the core challenges of space transportation by reducing cost, increasing availability, and improving reliability. By radically lowering launch costs and increasing flight cadence, we’re helping create a truly scalable space industry.
Our team is mission-driven, collaborative, and empowered to take ownership of their work. If you want to work alongside some of the most dedicated and talented people on Earth, we’d love to have you join us.
Reusable systems are the future of connecting Earth and space — and that future depends on removing inefficiency at every step. As an Inventory and Logistics Technician at our Kent site, you won't just move materials. You'll help redefine how tools, parts, and information flow through the factory.
This is a role for someone who sees a process and asks whether every step earns its place. Someone who spots waste before it compounds and builds smarter, faster, more automated ways of operating. You'll leverage technology, data, and process innovation to reduce wasted motion, improve visibility, and accelerate production across the site.
If you're the kind of person who leaves every system a little better than you found it, this role was built for you.
What You'll Do:
Execute on the floor
Perform hands-on inventory and logistics tasks while continuously looking for better ways to do them
Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
Work with internal teams to maintain reliable supply flow and minimize production-impacting shortages
Drive process improvement
Identify bottlenecks in material flow and implement technology-driven solutions — don't just flag problems, own the fix
Document current-state processes and build the case for change: data, root cause, proposed solution, expected outcome
Build inventory systems that scale with the pace of production — always raising the bar on how work gets done
Support implementation of modern logistics tools, WMS platforms, digital tracking systems, and automation
Own inventory operations
Optimize inventory locations, storage systems, and point-of-use material strategies
Run inventory audits and use data to improve accuracy, replenishment timing, and visibility across the factory
Partner closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure critical hardware is available exactly when and where it's needed
Manage shipping, receiving, and internal material movement with a focus on speed, traceability, and scalability
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or supply chain role
Valid forklift certification, or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
Demonstrated track record of identifying process gaps and driving fixes — not waiting to be asked
Strong computer skills: comfortable in spreadsheets, inventory software, or internal tracking tools
Rigorous attention to detail and a high personal bar for accuracy
Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted; able to stoop, bend, and crawl as needed for warehouse tasks
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in a warehouse, inventory, or supply chain role
Experience with a warehouse management system — NetSuite, Fishbowl, SAP, or similar
Background in lean, 5S, kaizen, or other structured process improvement methodologies
Scripting or automation experience (Python, Excel macros, or similar) applied to inventory or logistics workflows
Experience in aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, or other high-accountability production environments
Familiarity with ITAR-controlled parts handling and traceability requirements
