Candidates should be collaborative team players and possess a flexible attitude and a healthy sense of humor.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Job Responsibilities</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The Primary &amp; Lower School Faculty Assistant key responsibilities are as follows:</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Academic Instruction &amp; Curriculum Implementation:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>In collaboration with the lead teacher, create lessons that are active, engaging, and tailored to a variety of learning styles and developmental levels.</li><li>Utilize a range of resources and technology tools to support differentiated learning and student exploration.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Student Learning &amp; Well-being:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Along with the lead teacher, monitor and assess individual student progress using both formative and summative measures; provide ongoing, developmentally appropriate feedback.</li><li>When needed, provide targeted support and enrichment based on data-informed student needs.</li><li>Foster a warm, inclusive classroom culture that promotes confidence, kindness, curiosity, and a sense of belonging.</li><li>Partner closely with families, learning specialists, and counselors to support holistic student growth.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Professional Growth &amp; Collaboration:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Engage in team meetings and school-wide professional development focused on continuous improvement.</li><li>Reflect on and refine instructional practices in response to student data, and feedback/coaching from GLC&rsquo;s.</li><li>Participate in required training and growth opportunities, including the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE) professional learning sequence when applicable.</li><li>Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, thematic learning, and shared student experiences.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Community &amp; School Engagement:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Serve as a visible, positive presence in the daily life of the Primary &amp; Lower School community, including during assemblies, special events, and enrichment opportunities both during and after school hours where needed, such as admissions testing support.</li><li>At the discretion of lead teacher or GLC, communicate regularly with families to support student learning and strengthen home-school partnerships.</li><li>Contribute to a culture of belonging and inclusion by creating classroom environments that honor diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and identities.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:.5in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Associate&rsquo;s degree in the subject area or a related field (Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred)</li><li>Minimum 2-3 years of successful experience, ideally at the primary-aged and/or elementary school level.</li><li>Deep understanding of early childhood development and best practices in foundational literacy and numeracy instruction.</li><li>Strong instructional, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote a positive and collaborative professional culture.</li><li>Passion for education, student development, and professional learning.</li><li>Commitment to Gulliver Prep&rsquo;s mission, values, and continuous improvement.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Pre-Employment Requirements</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Criminal Background Check, Level II Fingerprint Screening(s), and Drug screen.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><em>Gulliver is deeply committed to the principles of equity and diversity and seeks to create an inclusive community for all faculty and staff.
