Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead logistics and supply chain management for high-value, mission-critical defense programs including the execution and oversight of material support, supplier coordination, and logistics process improvement</li>\n <li>Manage lifecycle logistics, incorporating acquisition-driven strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and readiness planning to enhance operational availability</li>\n <li>Coordinate and interface with engineering, maintenance, supply, and program management teams to resolve sustainment risks and align sustainment outcomes to mission execution</li>\n <li>Oversee procurement activities, vendor performance, and supply chain operations, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations (including FAR/DFARS) and best practices</li>\n <li>Develop, document, and validate technical procedures, maintenance documentation, and logistics training materials to support end users and maintainers</li>\n <li>Deliver executive reports, briefs, and performance metrics to senior leadership, with responsibility for high-stakes decision support and strategic sourcing initiatives</li>\n <li>Execute and optimize inventory audits, repairable asset management, spares provisioning, and transportation strategies, achieving audit compliance and cost control objectives</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Cleared at the DoD Secret level</li>\n <li>Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related DoD/acquisition logistics functions, with demonstrated leadership in high-risk, operationally critical environments</li>\n <li>Proven success managing large-value defense material inventories, orchestrating cross-functional logistics teams, and achieving superior audit/inspection outcomes</li>\n <li>Comprehensive supply chain risk management, inventory/accountability governance, and end-to-end lifecycle logistics strategies</li>\n <li>Proficiency with ERP systems, executive reporting, and the development and validation of technical logistics documentation</li>\n <li>Experience with vendor management, procurement collaboration, contract lifecycle support, and readiness optimization</li>\n <li>Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility Department of Defense environments with full compliance to U.S. Navy and NAVSUP processes and procedures</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and formal briefings—to executive audiences and technical teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Additional Experience/Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional Certifications (Preferred/Increasingly Common)</li>\n <li>Relevant certifications (often required or highly desirable in government/defense environments)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated history of high-value inventory management with zero-loss outcomes</li>\n <li>Experience leading logistics interface between engineering, sustainment, and operational commands</li>\n <li>Lean/CI and audit governance accomplishments, including process improvement for repair turnaround times, spares provisioning, and lifecycle support</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Expertise in development of logistics training courses, technical documentation, and SOPs for DoD systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p><strong>DEGREE: </strong>BS or BA degree in a Supply Chain or Logistics Management, or a relevant technical discipline.</p>\n<p>ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. </p>\n<p><strong>SECURITY CLEARANCE – SECRET</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Condition of Employment:</strong> Applicant must hold an active DoD SECRET clearance.
