    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Title/Position:&nbsp;</strong>Physical Therapy Assistant</p><p><strong>Reports to:</strong> Physical Therapist or Rehab Director</p><p><strong>Position Summary:&nbsp;</strong><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">The physical therapy assistant provides physical therapy services under the direction of the&nbsp;</span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">physical therapist and according to the physician&#39;s plan of care (or other authorized licensed&nbsp;</span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">independent practitioner) plan of care.</span></p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><strong>Patient Care:</strong></span></p><ol><li id=\"isPasted\">Provides direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">the physician&#39;s plan of care.</span></li><li>Treats patient to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.</li><li>Directs and aids patients in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic training.</span></li><li>Utilizes physical agents, including, but not be limited to heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">and massage.</span></li><li>Instructs patients in care and use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">devices.</span></li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ol><p><strong>Communication:</strong></p><ol><li id=\"isPasted\">Observes and reports to the physical therapist and the Organization personnel the patient&rsquo;s reaction <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">to treatment and any changes in patient&rsquo;s condition.</span></li><li>Maintains necessary records; clinical notes and conference notes, which will be incorporated into <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">the patient&rsquo;s clinical record in prescribed time frames.</span></li><li>Participates in Organization Home Care Team Members meetings and Organization Inservice <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Education Program.</span></li></ol><p><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\"><br></span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p>1. Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with either an Associate&rsquo;s degree in science or applied&nbsp;<span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">science that is approved by American Physical Therapy Association, Inc.</span></p><p>2. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.</p><p>3. Current certification or license as required by state law.</p><p>4.
