Description

Join IDP as a Service & Repair Mechanic! Impact Diesel Performance (IDP) is a growing, fast-paced diesel and heavy-truck repair operation built on quality workmanship, reliability, and a commitment to doing things right the first time. We take pride in keeping our customers’ vehicles and fleets moving safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail, and we’re looking for a skilled Service & Repair Mechanic to help uphold that standard. The Service & Repair Mechanic is a hands-on, skilled technician responsible for maintaining and repairing customers’ trucks and heavy-duty vehicles. Working closely with the service team, this role ensures high-quality workmanship, safety, and efficiency on every job while supporting the shop’s operational goals and delivering excellent customer service. The Service & Repair Mechanic contributes to smooth workflow, helps uphold shop standards, and applies expertise to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues accurately. What You’ll Do Perform routine and preventive maintenance (oil changes, tune-ups, inspections) and emergency repairs to minimize downtime on customers’ vehicles and fleets. Diagnose, repair, and replace components including brakes, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and more. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and manufacturer specifications. Conduct thorough inspections to ensure safe and reliable vehicle operation. Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and proper functionality. Collaborate with the team to prioritize work orders and minimize customer downtime. Accurately document service work and communicate with our team. Maintain high-quality workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction and reduce comebacks. Follow safety policies and procedures, actively contributing to a safe work environment. Share knowledge and best practices with less experienced technicians, supporting skill development. Keep the workshop organized, professional, and clean. Take on additional shop-related duties as needed to support overall team success. Who You Are 3+ years applicable work experience. Confident working independently with strong diagnostic and repair skills. Practical problem-solver with excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Safety-first mindset, proactive, and collaborative. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics. Equipped with personal tools and physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. Comfortable in a busy, active, and sometimes noisy shop environment. Flexible and responsive to urgent or changing customer needs. Interested in growing leadership or mentoring skills as opportunities arise. Must hold and maintain a Saskatchewan driver’s license and have an acceptable Driver’s Abstract. A Class 1A license would be an asset. Visit  www.impactdieselperformance.ca  to learn more about us! Please Note: This position is listed under our parent company, G2 Enterprises; however, the role is employed directly by Impact Diesel Performance.
