This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping children build independence, develop life skills, and actively participate in their homes and communities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Direct Support Professional in PASS, you will provide individualized, family-driven support that enhances a child’s ability to engage in daily activities and social experiences. With more than 60 years of experience, we provide person-centered, community-based services that empower individuals to live meaningful and independent lives.</p>\n<p>This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in human services while making a direct and lasting impact on a child’s development and quality of life.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Direct Care & Support</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide one-on-one care and supervision based on the approved PASS plan</li>\n <li>Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care as needed</li>\n <li>Support children in developing independence, decision-making, and life skills</li>\n <li>Create opportunities for socialization at home and in the community</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Plan Implementation & Documentation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement individualized goals developed in collaboration with families and the care team</li>\n <li>Accurately document progress through data sheets, notes, and required reports</li>\n <li>Submit timesheets, incident reports, and documentation in a timely manner</li>\n <li>Participate in family-led trainings and apply feedback to improve service delivery</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Family & Team Collaboration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate effectively with parents/caregivers regarding progress and needs</li>\n <li>Work collaboratively with coordinators and clinical consultants</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional, respectful, and supportive relationship with families</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Community Engagement & Transportation</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Transport individuals to approved activities and appointments as needed</li>\n <li>Support participation in recreational, social, and community-based activities</li>\n <li>Ensure all transportation is conducted safely and in accordance with regulations</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Professional Standards & Safety</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations</li>\n <li>Promote self-advocacy, dignity, and respect for each individual served</li>\n <li>Respond effectively to emergencies and ensure a safe, clean environment</li>\n <li>Attend required trainings and maintain certifications</li>\n</ul>\n<h3><strong>Core Competencies</strong></h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Empathy and compassion</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, especially with families</li>\n <li>Reliability and professionalism</li>\n <li>Ability to support social skill development and independence</li>\n <li>Flexibility and adaptability in a home-based setting</li>\n <li>Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required</li>\n <li>Valid Class C or Class D driver’s license</li>\n <li>CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain)</li>\n</ul>",
