    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>TEMPORARY POSITION - 6 MONTHS</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The GIS Technician assists with maintenance and development of District-wide Geographic Information System (GIS), including asset and utility inventories and habitat classification and land management datasets. &nbsp;Assists in the creation and maintenance of the District&rsquo;s GIS layers in geodatabases, and the conversion of data from multiple sources and types. &nbsp; Performs data acquisition, collection, and verification tasks in the field utilizing Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). &nbsp;Creates and maintains metadata for District&rsquo;s GIS layers. &nbsp;Creates maps, applications and data for District staff, Departments, and special projects. &nbsp;Performs lifting tasks up to 25 pounds. &nbsp;Drives a motorized vehicle to travel to different locations. &nbsp;Performs tasks that will require walking, bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and sitting.</p><p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p><p>Knowledge in the operation of mapping and database software packages, including ESRI&rsquo;s ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123 and related tools such as geodatabases. &nbsp;Knowledge of GNSS data collection, GIS standards, terms, principles, and mapping. &nbsp; Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. &nbsp; Must possess a valid motor vehicle driver&rsquo;s license.</p><p><strong>BENEFITS</strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">The Lake County Forest Preserves offers an excellent work environment as well as complies with the Paid Leave for All Workers Act by offering paid time off.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p></div></div>\n",
