    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Defense contractor performing product development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles in the Los Angeles International Airport area is searching for an experienced Design Engineer. &nbsp;With a 50+ year history, The Marvin Group supports all branches of the Department of Defense and allies around the globe on an array of programs and platforms. &nbsp;We support many military prime contractors including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Raytheon.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><h2><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">SCOPE</span></h2><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">This position requires a strong background in Mechanical Engineering/Design/Analysis with an emphasis on pneumatic, mechanical and electro-mechanical components/assemblies. &nbsp;The ideal candidate will have experience in the design, analysis and prototyping of mechanisms which may include linkages, levers, pneumatic devices, solenoid and motor operators. The candidate should have a broad background emphasizing work with mechanical devices and subsystems, preferably for use in military or commercial aviation. &nbsp;Knowledge of airborne weapon systems and/or weapon carriage equipment is strongly desirable.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Specialist knowledge regarding structural analysis by use of Finite Element Method and classical hand calculations will be a strong differentiator for candidate selection. &nbsp;Design experience with CATIA and analysis experience with ANSYS is highly desirable. &nbsp; The candidate must be flexible and able to work effectively in a fast paced environment as a member of a cross functional team and as an individual contributor. &nbsp;A successful candidate will be able to show evidence of their capability to excel in performance tasks as an individual contributor/specialist with a minimum of oversight, and to function well as a member of a cross-functional team. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Minimum BSME, BSAE and a minimum of 10 years&rsquo; experience in relevant design/analysis/development environment, preferably for military or commercial aviation.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Knowledge of manufacturing of mechanical components and assemblies with emphasis in complex electromechanical systems, or large structures.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to perform structural analysis by hand calculations and finite element methods.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Knowledge of aerospace materials properties and selection as well as processing including Heat Treat and Coatings for aerospace requirements required</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in creation of design concepts using hand sketches, and CAD tools</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">CAD experience in CATIA (preferred) or Pro-E is a plus &nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, their capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. &nbsp;Prior assembly or shop experience is a plus</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to perform basic measurements and simple inspection processes</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must have experience with MIL-STD documents, reading and interpretation of ASME Y14.5</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. &nbsp;Must be fluent in written and spoken English</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to write engineering reports, typically to document analysis and test results</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Evidence of accomplishment in self-documentation of work product through technical reports, test reports etc. a plus</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Proficiency with Microsoft Office products is essential&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Proof of education is required</span></li></ul><ul><li><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs</span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">This candidate for position must meet export control and other special program access compliance requirements. &nbsp;All applicants must be U.S. citizens, with no secondary (dual) citizenship permissible.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><strong>Visit us at marvingroup.com</strong></span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em>&nbsp;</em></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em>The Marvin Group is an EEO/AA/Disability/Vets Employer.</em></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><em>Our company uses E-Verify to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.
