This role assists with budgeting, financial modeling, and revenue tracking for park operations, concessions, and community programs. This position will work in close partnership with the Controller to provide data-driven insights to executive leadership to ensure long-term financial sustainability. Successful candidates will possess a foundational knowledge of accounting and demonstrate a strong passion for detail-oriented work, problem-solving, and analysis. </p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities: </strong></p><p><strong>Accounts Receivable & Billing  </strong></p><ul><li><p>Prepare and issue invoices for organizational revenue streams, including real estate, concessionaires, permits, and events. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Partner with various departments to integrate accounts receivable workflow in BILL.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Monitor collections, payment issues, and customer account questions. </p></li></ul><p><strong>Financial Planning & Analysis </strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist Controller with building long-term financial model to support organizational planning and capital improvements. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Support periodic budget reforcasting through variance analysis of budget to actual spend.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Develop reporting and controls to improve AR performance, collection timing, and cash flow visibility.  </p></li></ul><p><strong>Systems & Workflow Management </strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist Finance team with accounting system migration to Sage Intacct. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly and ensure transactions are recorded properly.  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency to accelerate month-end close.  </p></li></ul><p><strong>Reporting & Compliance </strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist with year-end audits and public reporting mandates. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Develop automated dashboards to track key performance metrics. </p></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications: </strong></p><ul><li><p>2–4 years of experience in non-profit finance or public sector accounting. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong capability to translate complex numbers into simple narratives. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Proficiency with accounting, accounts payable, and expense management software such as Sage Intacct and BILL. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Knowledge of NYC government funding processes and compliance is a plus. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Background in NYC public sector, non-profit, or real estate finance preferred. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Strong desire to personally learn and grow, take initiative, and proactively take on challenges. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution preferred. </p></li></ul><p><strong>About You:   </strong></p><ul><li><p>You strive to be inclusive and collaborative.
