Entering our ninth year of summer camps, we are currently seeking fun, outgoing, and responsible Camp Counsellors to help us make Camp Brimacombe a fun and safe place for our campers this summer.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">As part of our Camp Brimacombe team, you will be responsible for assisting in programming and leading campers in fun, interactive activities that promote learning for not only the campers, but you as well. We will treat you with respect and give you the opportunity to take ownership this summer by providing input into the camp programs, and helping implement positive growth of campers and the camp itself. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Provide high-quality outdoor educational and recreational experiences for campers through leading weekly-themed programming</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines associated with the camp and all program areas. This includes, but is not limited to, being responsible for your campers' safety and their whereabouts at all times</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Help write and implement a weekly schedule for your camp group</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Maintain accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation and daily attendance</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Lead campers through pre-programmed activities during Before and After Camps</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Qualifications:<br></span></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"><br></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Previous experience or education in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or a related field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Valid First Aid and CPR-C certification</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Provide Ministry of Labour Workplace Health and Safety certificate, prior to first day of work</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Provide HIGHFIVE Principals of Healthy Childhood Development certificate, prior to first day of work</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Successful applicants 18+ years of age will be required to provide a successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search as a condition of employment</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Ability to lead, plan, organize and implement program activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Ability to work as a member of a team and the ability to accomplish task with little direct supervision</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Ability to engage in physical labour of lifting, moving (chairs/tables etc.), bending, running and lots of walking (this is a very active job)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Strong organizational and communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Must be able to legally work in Canada</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">To Apply:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px\">Please complete an electronic application by clicking the APPLY button associated with this posting.
