    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The Automation Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining HMI and visualization systems used to monitor and control our industrial beef processing sites. This role works closely with PLC and controls engineers to integrate equipment into plant automation systems and improve system performance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The role is based at our corporate office located approximately 10 minutes from the manufacturing facility, allowing regular collaboration with plant operations.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>HMI & Visualization Development</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and maintain HMI graphics used to monitor and control plant processes.</li>\n <li>Configure HMI systems to communicate with PLCs and automation equipment.</li>\n <li>Improve existing graphics for usability, clarity, and operational efficiency.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Automation System In</strong><strong>tegration</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support integration of new equipment into the plant automation environment.</li>\n <li>Work with controls engineers to configure tags and communication between PLCs and HMI systems.</li>\n <li>Participate in testing and commissioning of automation system updates.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>System Monitoring & Troubleshooting</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support plant operations by troubleshooting automation system issues.</li>\n <li>Analyze control system data to identify system performance issues.</li>\n <li>Assist operations and maintenance teams in resolving automation-related problems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>System Maintenance & Reliability</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain HMI system configuration and historical data systems.</li>\n <li>Support system backups and configuration management.</li>\n <li>Assist with user access and security for control systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participate in automation improvement projects.</li>\n <li>Support development of new tools or system enhancements that improve plant visibility and control.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.</li>\n <li>Must have regular and punctual attendance.</li>\n <li>Perform all other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Skills and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>HMI / SCADA configuration and graphic development.</li>\n <li>PLC integration and basic PLC programming or troubleshooting.</li>\n <li>Tag configuration and data mapping between PLCs and HMI systems.</li>\n <li>Industrial automation system troubleshooting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Demonstrated Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Analytical Thinking-</strong>Ability to analyze automation system data and troubleshoot issues affecting equipment or processes.</li>\n <li><strong>Problem Solving-</strong>Uses logical and systematic approaches to diagnose control system issues and implement solutions.</li>\n <li><strong>Attention to Detail-</strong>Ensures accuracy when developing HMI graphics, configuring tags, and managing system data.</li>\n <li><strong>Collaboration-</strong>Works effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams to support plant systems.</li>\n <li><strong>Communication-</strong>Communicates technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical personnel.</li>\n <li><strong>Adaptability-</strong>Adjusts priorities and responds effectively to changing production or system support needs.</li>\n <li><strong>Initiative-</strong>Identifies opportunities to improve automation systems, usability of graphics, and system reliability.</li>\n <li><strong>Organization & Time Management-</strong>Manages multiple projects, troubleshooting requests, and system updates simultaneously.</li>\n <li><strong>Continuous Improvement Mindset-</strong>Actively seeks ways to improve automation systems, processes, and system visibility.</li>\n <li><strong>Accountability-</strong>Takes ownership of assigned projects, system reliability, and problem resolution.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Office setting and industrial manufacturing setting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong>  Minimum 1 year of relevant automation or controls experience including HMI, SCADA or PLC. <strong>Education: </strong> Technical degree is preferred in a related area, such as a SCADA or electromechanical program.<strong>Department:   </strong>Systems Engineer</p>\n<p> </p>",
