The A&P Technician I is ideal for experienced A&P maintenance professionals and veterans who have their FAA A irframe c ertification along with 5 + years of aviation maintenance experience. WORK LOCATION: Onsite at AAR ( at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, OK . ) SCHEDULE (Full-Time/ n on- e xempt and v ariable, 40 – 50-hour work week) Supervisor determines shift/days required , but we can discuss in interview process. Typically, more flexible candidates will be preferred. 1st Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm or 5:30am to 4:00pm 2nd Shift: 3:30pm to 12:00am or 3:30pm to 2:00am ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Able to perform heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging Perform aircraft maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks E nsure aircraft are safely maintained in accordance with the Airworthiness Standards U se FAA approved /accepted data ( i.e., IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficientl y Maintain records in compliance with FAA and company requirements Perform airframe repairs as assigned while meeting deadlines and quality standards R ead and follow technical publications, schematics, and/or mechanical drawings U se a PC , iPad and basic computer applications and programs Adherence to work schedule, punctuality, and self-motivation Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management CORE COMPETENCIES Commitment : to company values and ethics Dependability: personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner , and performs tasks accurately Motivation: must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy Organization: very detail oriented and always comes prepared Communication: excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills Initiative: plans work and carries out tasks without detailed instructions, prepares for problems or opportunities in advance, undertakes additional responsibilities Leadership: demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others AAR is the place of choice to build an inspiring career.
