We are looking for passionate <strong>Residential Aides</strong> to work in in our shelter programs, providing services that include: driving program vehicle to drop off and pick up shelter residents, assist with security of the facility and the nightly count. The Residential Aide is also responsible for coordinating client move outs, transfers and curfew violators.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Residential Aide will work under the supervision of program leadership providing shift coverage, with flexible, rotating shift schedule, and weekend coverage.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>                 ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide direct crisis intervention to clients and prepares incident reports of such interventions </li>\n <li>Monitor client when they are taking their medication if necessary</li>\n <li>Inform staff of any prescriptions given to client that must be filled (especially 12am-8am and weekend shifts)</li>\n <li>Brief incoming shifts of status of the facility (which includes all clients in and out of facility) </li>\n <li>Give verbal and written warnings to clients and hand out appropriate consequences such as extra chores, removal of store and telephone privileges </li>\n <li>Inform treatment staff of any concerns via an entry in communication logbook or a note in treatment staff mailbox </li>\n <li>Make copies of forms to be utilize for store passes, cigarette distribution, meal checklists, etc. </li>\n <li>Serve as staff escort when necessary </li>\n <li>Partake in educational training to enhance skills related to job function </li>\n <li>Performs various other tasks and responsibilities (i.e. facilitate morning/evening focus group </li>\n <li>Participate in staff meetings as required </li>\n <li>Provide coverage in the cafeteria during meal times, monitor the client bed area and remove any unnecessary items in accordance with funder rules</li>\n <li>Coordinate and oversee morning/dispatches, petty cash (tokens, carfare, and lunch and dinner money) and escorts for clients as assigned</li>\n <li>Some Residential Aides will provide escorts for clients as assigned and needed based on driver’s license status and eligibility. Driving eligibility is determined by SUS Driver Eligibility Policy. </li>\n <li>Hourly house/room rounds and recording of time and findings in communications logbook on all shifts</li>\n <li>Keep supervisor informed of all relevant information regarding the residents and the program </li>\n <li>Other duties as requested by supervisor</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><em>REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE </em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or GED</li>\n <li>Driver’s license preferred, not required</li>\n <li>1-year work experience in residential treatment or similar setting</li>\n <li>Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS</em></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge of human services</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>S:US IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Join a team of employees who care about the wellbeing of others.
