This position does not include assisting with personal care. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Qualifications &amp; Experience:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Professional or personal experience working with individuals who have cognitive deficits, physical limitations, and/or mental illness</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">High school diploma; Four-year college degree (preferred)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Valid driver’s license with a registered vehicle that is insured </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">A strong service orientation and a special interest in working with older adults </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Ability to work well independently </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Excellent written and verbal communication skills</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Completes regularly scheduled client visits in the DC Metro area to perform companion services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Provides incidental transportation for clients, including visits to grocery stores and other planned medical or social events. </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Discusses planned activities with the client’s family and the client’s assigned care manager as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Following client visits, prepares detailed activity reports in the client database in conjunction with recording all time spent with a client. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Consults with the Director of Debbie’s Angels and/or care managers on any changes observed during client visits (behavior, physical, or other urgent issues). </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Communicates with the Director of Debbie’s Angels, care managers, and/or family members by phone or email following client visits, or as indicated. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Promotes relationships in the community by sharing information about our services.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Regularly participates in monthly meetings, in-services, educational programs, and team-focused communication.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 14pt\">Starting at $19.50 per hour</span></li>\n</ul>",
