In this role, you will lead and manage all operations within the Freight department, including order management, customer service, driver oversight, and equipment maintenance. Your leadership will ensure safety, efficiency, and high service standards across freight operations. If you are passionate about transportation logistics and team leadership, we would love to hear from you!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Foster a culture of safety by providing training, PPE, and accountability measures.</li>\n <li>Conduct accident investigations and implement safety improvements.</li>\n <li>Hire, engage, and retain drivers while providing performance feedback and development.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and supply chain teams to meet customer delivery expectations.</li>\n <li>Oversee dispatching and delivery schedules through Route Planner and Freight Administrator (if applicable).</li>\n <li>Monitor and manage fleet performance using key metrics (e.g., payload efficiency, OTIFNE, MPG).</li>\n <li>Partner with maintenance providers to minimize equipment downtime and ensure preventative maintenance.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>College degree required or equivalent experience with a high school diploma.</li>\n <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in Transportation or Freight Management with supervisory responsibilities.</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work 40+ hours per week and weeknights/weekends as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Skills & Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong leadership and team-building skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of FMCSA and State DOT regulations.</li>\n <li>Proficient in business systems, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.</li>\n <li>Experience with dispatching and load prioritization.</li>\n <li>Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.</li>\n <li>High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.</li>\n <li>Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Compensation Range:</strong>$78,000.00-$100,000.00 Individual pay may vary and is determined by work location, shift, and factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
