Your focus will be on leveraging regional resources and assets, while considering current industry trends and the competitive landscape. Additionally, you will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, government entities, and the public, ensuring estimating deliverables align with the proposal strategy.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator specializing in ICI Construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in accurately estimating costs for construction projects, contributing to competitive bids and successful project delivery. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive and precise estimates.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">This is a full-time, permanent position based in our Arnprior, ON office. The role will involve occasional on-site visits across Eastern and Northern Ontario as required.<br><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">Specific Duties and Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">While the Senior Estimator is responsible for a multitude of duties, the main functions include:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Ensure compliance with all Sullivan policies and procedures.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Analyze contract documents, including isometric, as-built, and engineering drawings, as well as specifications for various project types (e.g., hard-bid/lump-sum, construction management, design-build) to determine overall requirements (bonding, insurance, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Perform quantity, material, and labor take-offs from drawings, specifications, and related documents.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Lead pricing of general expenses and project-specific requirements for medium to large projects.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Assist in presenting estimates and proposals, including preparing and delivering client presentations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Document, archive, and organize all estimate-related information for transfer to the project team upon award.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Conduct risk and opportunity analyses for review by the Estimating Manager, incorporating findings into the risk register.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Coordinate with external consultants and project management organizations to develop project budgets and oversee the tender development process on behalf of clients.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Help construct critical path schedules with milestone dates and completion timelines to meet contract deadlines.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Perform post-bid analyses and assist the project management team with trade buy-out strategies on successful submissions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Act as a key contributor in pursuit activities to secure the project.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Provide preconstruction services, including preliminary budget development, cost planning, and value engineering exercises.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Participate in developing procurement plans, labor and equipment forecasts, logistics plans, site workflows, and project risk registers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Participate in design, constructability, and value engineering reviews to ensure project efficiency.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Prepare and manage project budgets during the pre-construction phase.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold\">What You Will Need to Succeed:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Bachelor's degree or diploma in related discipline or trade experience or an equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Eligible for or have attained PQS, CET, or Gold Seal designations.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Over 10 years of hands-on experience as a Cost Consultant or Estimator, covering a full range of project delivery methods, including lump sum, construction management, and design-build. This experience should include direct estimation of large-scale commercial, high-rise, civil, and institutional construction projects valued at $50M or more.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">Proficient in self-perform estimating and productivity analysis.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt\">In-depth knowledge of various construction methods, planning, scheduling, sequencing, potential challenges, and timelines.
