With assets over $1 billion, not including vast land holdings, IRC is responsible for corporate investment, land management, and a broad range of social, cultural, and economic programs and services benefiting Inuvialuit. Its subsidiaries have interests in grocery, manufacturing, property management, transportation, and significant dealings in the oil and gas industry. Since its inception, IRC has experienced considerable growth, and its structure and operations have become increasingly complex. Combining local government and service delivery, community development, investment, and operating business divisions, all managed by a single back office, the organization has an array of complexities for the executive staff to navigate. There is an emphasis on fostering understanding, healing, and resilience in a region brimming with unique social challenges and immense potential for transformative change. JOB SUMMARY The IESP Community Liaison is a key member of the Inuvialuit Energy Security Project (IESP) team and serves as the primary connection between the project and communities across the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. This role is highly community-facing and involves regular engagement with ISR communities, including travel as required. The Liaison is responsible for sharing project information, building relationships, supporting community capacity, including youth engagement and workforce readiness, and gathering community feedback to inform the project team. QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must be/have: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent Minimum 3 years of related administrative, coordination, or community engagement experience Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Experience working in cross-cultural environments Preference may be given to candidates with the following: Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations Experience in community engagement, outreach, or stakeholder relations Knowledge of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region Experience supporting project-based initiatives Please refer to the job description for a full list of duties and qualifications.
