We seek a dynamic teacher-scholar committed to undergraduate education and to contributing to the continued evolution of our collaborative and forward-looking computer science program.</p>\n<p>Applicants from&nbsp;<strong>all areas of computer science</strong> are welcome, with&nbsp;<strong>particular encouragement for those specializing in artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction, media-focused computation, computer systems, or cybersecurity</strong>. Later applications may be considered as well.</p>\n<p>This is an exciting time to join our department. We are in the process of&nbsp;<strong>launching new majors in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science</strong>, as well as&nbsp;<strong>new minors in Artificial Intelligence, App Development, Data-Centric Computing, and Computer Systems</strong>. New faculty will have the opportunity to&nbsp;<strong>s</strong>hape and teach in these programs, and to develop courses aligned with their own areas of expertise.</p>\n<p>Our department emphasizes&nbsp;<strong>small class sizes</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>close faculty-student collaboration</strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>project-based learning</strong>. Faculty are empowered to take initiative, contribute to shared governance, and help guide the direction of the department. We pride ourselves on a strong culture of&nbsp;<strong>collegiality and consensus-driven decision-making</strong>.</p>\n<p>Ithaca College supports a healthy&nbsp;<strong>work-life balance</strong> and provides resources for&nbsp;<strong>both teaching and research</strong>, including&nbsp;<strong>startup and travel funding</strong>,&nbsp;<strong>internal grant programs</strong>, and the&nbsp;<strong>Summer Scholars undergraduate research initiative</strong>. We welcome applicants with teaching experience and a strong commitment to preparing students professionally through an immersive, interdisciplinary liberal arts education.
