Job Title:  Lead Production Geologist Department:  Technical Grade:  7 Location:  Lagos Directly Reports to:  AGM Development and Exploration Duration: Full-time JOB SUMMARY Contribute to the development and maturation of Company’s Hydrocarbon Asset with the aim of growing asset production to at least 100Kbopd through Prospects and Opportunities Maturation, Wells Execution and Wells, Reservoir and Facility Management. The successful candidate will join a competent team of subsurface engineers and geoscientists responsible for championing above deliveries to maximize the value of our oil and gas assets to enhance both hydrocarbon production and optimize field development (plans). He/she will mainly work in the Development and Exploration team and with the Petroleum Engineering Functions to deliver technical and other deliverables as assigned by the Technical Team leadership. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Contribute to subsurface deliveries, taking own work through assurance processes and collaborate with other team members to move from opportunity identification to execution. 2.Contribute to reservoir evaluation using relevant geological skills, to provide an accurate representation of the reservoir and work with other team members to evaluate reservoir performance and develop production enhancement strategies. This includes the generation of the reservoir Static Model and supporting reservoir Dynamic simulation, taking into consideration contributions from other disciplines, with the aim of providing basis for production forecast and identifying appropriate improvement actions. 3. Apply reservoir geology, structural geology and stratigraphic principles to provide solutions to wells and reservoir issues in support of production sustenance, well restoration and execution. 4. Contribute to sidetrack and new wells delivery using operational geology knowledge and skill to acquire and analyse data, restore, sustain and improve production. 5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geophysicists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers and production engineers, to optimize reservoir performance. 6. Evaluate static volumes, characterize the reservoir and document work done in support of estimation, classification and reporting of the company’s reserves. They will include internal and external assurance events and presentations as required. 7. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and colleagues. 8. Be on the lookout and contribute to the Company’s drive for safety in own and colleagues' work 9. Support prospect evaluation through the petroleum system element evaluation to support maturation of exploration opportunities from Lead to drillable Prospects to contribute to the company’s growth aspirations. QUALIFICATION BSc, BTech in Geology/Applied Geology or other related degrees. Advanced degrees will be an added advantage. Minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience in Reservoir Evaluation, Operational Geology, Development & (Re)development Planning, Hydrocarbon Resource Management, Stratigraphy, Structural Geology, Reservoir Geology in oil & gas operating company. REQUISITE TECHNICAL & BEHAVIOURAL SKILL 1. Expertise at Skills level of Petrel, @risk. 2. Self-starter with strong capacity for multi-tasking. 3. Good collaboration, relationship management, and interpersonal skills. 4. Good technical, analytical and conceptual skills. Flexibility and innovative thinking. 5. Strong communication with people and presentation skills. 6. Aptitude for stakeholder management. 7. Demonstrated intelligence and quick learning potential. 8. Willingness to learn and take on challenges outside comfort zone. 9. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). 10. Good work ethic, integrity, and commitment.
