Assesses, plans, evaluates<strong>,</strong> and delivers nursing care in collaboration with RN and/or Physician. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists with patient care including checking vital signs, blood draws, obtaining other specimens for laboratory analysis and culture as ordered by the medical provider, discussing chief health concerns, and administering injections and immunizations.</li>\n <li>Observes, measures, records, and reports data relating to patient mental and physical status.</li>\n <li>Administers methadone under the supervision of the RN.</li>\n <li>Prepares labels and take-home bottles of medication for self-administration by clients for periods when the medical clinic is closed or for clients who are permitted to self-medicate in accordance with agency policies.</li>\n <li>Records and reports any spillage that may occur while dispensing a patient’s medication.</li>\n <li>Participates in the ongoing assessment of patient’s needs.</li>\n <li>Follows protocols for methadone dispensing as established by OASAS.</li>\n <li>Tallies medication sheet at the end of the day.</li>\n <li>Under the supervision of an RN physically counts medication at the end of day closing.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Who You Will Be</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent.</li>\n <li>Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program.</li>\n <li>NYS LPN license.</li>\n <li>BLS certification.</li>\n <li>At least One (1) year experience as an LPN working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or in a similar working environment.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG.</li>\n <li>Available to work a flexible schedule as needed in response to participant and staff needs. </li>\n <li>Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#li-onsite</p>",
