Job Summary
The Sr. Manager of Market Intelligence is a key contributor within Zeus Commercial Marketing, providing front-end market intelligence that guides commercial strategy, innovation focus, and growth prioritization. This role is responsible for delivering actionable insights through market research, competitive analysis, and AI-enabled market modeling to identify, size, and prioritize opportunities aligned with Zeus polymer platforms and core manufacturing capabilities. The role partners closely with Commercial Marketing, Sales, Product Development, R&D, and executive leadership to connect market needs to differentiated Zeus technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead front-end market research to understand medical device market dynamics, customer value drivers, regulatory trends, and unmet clinical needs relevant to Zeus polymer technologies.
Develop competitive intelligence frameworks to benchmark Zeus materials and engineered polymer solutions against alternative materials, competitors, and emerging technologies.
Identify and evaluate breakthrough and emerging medical device technologies where sales should get engaged and leverage Zeus polymers and new products that could enable improved performance, manufacturability, or clinical outcomes.
Apply AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics, and structured market models to estimate TAM, SAM, and SOM for priority applications and technology platforms.
Translate market, competitive, and technology insights into clear narratives and recommendations to support commercial strategy, portfolio decisions, and investment prioritization.
Build market sizing and opportunity models that explicitly map application requirements to specific Zeus polymer technologies, processing capabilities, and value propositions.
Partner with Commercial Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and R&D to enable prioritization of product launches, the creation of Salesforce leads/opportunities and the alignment of innovation value horizons.
Create and maintain standardized market intelligence deliverables including reports, dashboards, opportunity briefs, and executive presentations.
Support opportunity screening and prioritization by assessing market attractiveness, competitive intensity, technology fit, and commercial potential.
Ensure transparency, consistency, and documentation of assumptions, data sources, and methodologies used in market analyses.
Support continuous improvement of Zeus market intelligence processes, tools, and best practices.
Comply with company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field, combined with 10+ years of experience in market research, intelligence, or strategic analytics within medical device, life sciences, or advanced materials industries.
Demonstrated mastery in market sizing, competitive analysis, and translating complex data into actionable commercial insights, specifically regarding polymer technologies, extrusion-based components, or engineered materials.
Experience leveraging AI-enabled analytics tools, structured data models, and advanced quantitative techniques, including strategic modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
Strong understanding of materials science, polymers, or engineered components within regulated environments, including experience supporting innovation pipelines and early-stage technology scouting.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and work effectively across Commercial Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and R&D teams.
Familiarity with voice-of-customer (VoC) methodologies and qualitative market research techniques.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple strategic initiatives, with experience mentoring junior analysts and driving enterprise-level portfolio decisions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft O365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and data visualization or BI platforms.
