The Driver/Behavioral Health Technician is responsible for transporting clients to and from the facility. The ability to follow the direction of the Clinical Director and BHT Supervisor and safely transport clients in a timely fashion will be imperative in this role. When working on the floor as a BHT observing client behaviors, recording their conditions, and leading them to therapeutic and recreational activities. Driver/BHTs will work various shifts and will provide overall supervision of the clients in the facility and demonstrate exceptional care when transporting clientele. What tasks are required? Safely transports clients to and from doctor appointments, meetings and activities. Ensure all clients are always accounted for. Is respectful and caring to clients while maintaining proper boundaries. Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis. Immediately report missing equipment and/or damage to the vehicle or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor. At the end of each shift, leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility. Responsible for obeying all traffic laws, and for reporting all violations at the time of occurrence. Immediately notify appropriate individual(s) of any accidents. Complete necessary accident report(s) in a timely manner. Ensure that clients and passengers in the vehicle wear their seat belts prior to operating the vehicle. If a client or a passenger require immediate emergency resuscitation while in the vehicle or at any other time during the transport, calls 911, gives the location of the van or area and immediately begins CPR. Supervise clients during transport. Observe client behaviors. Adhere to safety standards. Enter client information into a database (EMR). Ability to explain and complete admissions paperwork. Ability to complete the admissions process with incoming clients including search, Urine Drug Screen, Breathalyzer. Promote a healthy recovery environment. Perform general housekeeping functions. Under the direction of supervisor, establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries, utilization of identified clinical resources to review boundaries, limit setting for behavior, and develop therapeutic relations with clients. Assist in monitoring the therapeutic activities with patients, assist other team members as needed. Work directly with the clients and provide proper recovery support. What we need from you? Job Type: FULL TIME High School Diploma Preferred, Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), or willingness to pursue Valid Driver's License Growth mindset Complete annual education requirements. Maintain standards of professional society procedures and ethical behavior. Alway maintain client confidentiality. Report to work on time and as scheduled. Wear identification while on duty. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times. Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations. Exhibit no mental, nervous, organic, functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive safely (i.e. holding a medical marijuana card.) Driver/BHTs will work various shifts and will provide overall supervision of the clients in the facility and demonstrate exceptional care when transporting clientele.</p>\n<p><br><strong><em>What tasks are required?</em></strong></p>\n<ul class=\"editor-ul\">\n<li>\n<p>Safely transports clients to and from doctor appointments, meetings and activities.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensure all clients are always accounted for.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Is respectful and caring to clients while maintaining proper boundaries.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Inspect assigned vehicle and document mileage on a trip-by-trip basis.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Immediately report missing equipment and/or damage to the vehicle or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>At the end of each shift, leave the vehicle locked and secured at the facility.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Responsible for obeying all traffic laws, and for reporting all violations at the time of occurrence.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Immediately notify appropriate individual(s) of any accidents.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Complete necessary accident report(s) in a timely manner.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensure that clients and passengers in the vehicle wear their seat belts prior to operating the vehicle.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>If a client or a passenger require immediate emergency resuscitation while in the vehicle or at any other time during the transport, calls 911, gives the location of the van or area and immediately begins CPR.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Supervise clients during transport.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Observe client behaviors.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Adhere to safety standards.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Enter client information into a database (EMR).</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to explain and complete admissions paperwork.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to complete the admissions process with incoming clients including search, Urine Drug Screen, Breathalyzer.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Promote a healthy recovery environment.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Perform general housekeeping functions.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Under the direction of supervisor, establish appropriate therapeutic boundaries, utilization of identified clinical resources to review boundaries, limit setting for behavior, and develop therapeutic relations with clients.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Assist in monitoring the therapeutic activities with patients, assist other team members as needed.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Work directly with the clients and provide proper recovery support.</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><em>What we need from you?</em></strong></p>\n<ul class=\"editor-ul\">\n<li>\n<p>Job Type:&nbsp;FULL TIME</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>High School Diploma</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Preferred, Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), or willingness to pursue</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Valid Driver's License</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Growth mindset</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Complete annual education requirements.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain standards of professional society procedures and ethical behavior.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Alway maintain client confidentiality.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Report to work on time and as scheduled.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Wear identification while on duty.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Communicate the mission, ethics and goals of the organization.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Ability to walk up and down stairs during emergency drills or situations.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Exhibit no mental, nervous, organic, functional disease or psychiatric disorder likely to interfere with his/her ability to drive safely (i.e. holding a medical marijuana card.)</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><em>EEO Statement</em></strong></p>\n<p><em>All BLR subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
