They will assist community members in achieving safe, timely access to care that is reflective of their needs and their culture. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mindimooyenh Indigenous Health System Navigator and Support Liaison</span> will offer education, hands-on support, opportunities to access land-based programming and advocacy services to assist Community Members to achieve the best services possible.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><br>Reporting to the Community Development Manager of Health Programs, the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mindimooyenh Indigenous Health Systems Navigation and Support Liaison</span> will amplify the voices of Indigenous women to have safe access to healthcare in a timely manner by supporting Indigenous women and letting their experiences be known.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">A post-secondary diploma/ certificate in health sciences and or social services with a minimum of 3 years of successful working experience and or lived experience in providing health support and advocacy in a community health care setting and/ or in a customer service field. A combination of education and experience will be considered.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated proficiency in establishing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with individuals, families, and groups from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience with assessing crisis situations, developing plans of care and/or safety plans.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience in developing and delivering programming, education, and training to internal and external stakeholders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated ability to form professional and collaborative working relationships and function as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Experience working on a collaborative team is required.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated ability to set and maintain high performance standards while practicing independently to achieve results.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated ability to engage in reflective practice and in constructive dialogue in order to effectively document community member experiences.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Understanding of public health (Community Well-being) systems and Indigenous healthcare systems including the complaint processes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Understanding of the history and jurisdictional issues that impact Indigenous women and their families and communities collectively.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be dependable, punctual, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction and be able to improve performance through management feedback.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Understanding of Indigenous culture and traditional practices.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to write and document community members’ narratives and experiences within the health care setting. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to provide in person timely advocacy for community members accessing care.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Knowledge of Not-For Profit Organizations and Indigenous organizations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Able to stand, bend, squat, kneel and reach freely.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Able to freely lift up to fifty (50) pounds.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Able to assist Community Members with standing, walking, and attending appointments etc.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrated experience operating clinic related equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Able to manage many conflicting priorities simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize and to plan ahead, define measurable objectives and outcomes and meet objectives in a timely manner.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong connection to other social service providers within the community.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Working knowledge of MS Office Software, internet, and general office equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Valid G Class Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Current, valid vulnerable sector criminal records check. Valid 1st Aid/CPR.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">This position requires travel and to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.<br></span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Please know, this is an existing role we are looking to fill.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The full salary range for this role is $49,500 - $60,778.
