Based at Wymondham High Academy, this role will also support Diss High School and Long Stratton High School, providing a dynamic environment to develop your IT skills across multiple sites.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking for a motivated and tech-savvy individual to join us as an IT Solutions Technician Apprentice, supporting the delivery, maintenance and security of IT systems across the Trust.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Apprenticeship Summary:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>• Salary: £15,392 a year (based on £8 per hour)<br>• Working Week: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm, Friday 8am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break daily)<br>• Hours: 37 hours per week<br>• Online apprenticeship training supported by our skilled tutors<br>• Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship<br>• Location: Wymondham High Academy, Folly Road, Wymondham, Norfolk, NR18 0QT</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Role:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role involves supporting the IT infrastructure across Enrich Learning Trust, with a focus on maintaining reliable network access, ensuring cybersecurity, and assisting staff and students with IT systems and equipment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT services, responding to helpdesk requests, maintaining hardware and software, and contributing to ongoing IT projects.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Main Duties:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests via the helpdesk system.<br>• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software on workstations.<br>• Support network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, servers, and switches.<br>• Maintain and support systems such as Microsoft 365 and MIS platforms.<br>• Set up and remove user accounts and manage access permissions.<br>• Prepare, check, and maintain IT equipment such as laptops and iPads.<br>• Assist staff and students with IT-related issues and provide guidance.<br>• Carry out routine maintenance, including printer support and hardware cleaning.<br>• Perform minor repairs to IT equipment.<br>• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and ensure proper security marking.<br>• Support cybersecurity measures and promote safe IT use.<br>• Assist with IT projects and contribute to implementation tasks.<br>• Set up and support audio-visual equipment for lessons, assemblies, and events.<br>• Film and edit school events where required.<br>• Support examination processes involving IT and audio-visual materials.<br>• Liaise with external suppliers for equipment and services.<br>• Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection, and licensing regulations.<br>• Attend occasional evening events to provide technical support.<br>• Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and appropriate IT usage.<br>• Undertake training and development as required.<br>• Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as directed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">The Candidate:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications, Qualities &amp; Experience</span></p>\n<p><br>• Good general education with GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above), including Maths, English, and IT/Computing<br>• Interest in IT, networking, and technical support<br>• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365<br>• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills<br>• Good communication and customer service skills<br>• Ability to work independently and as part of a team<br>• Organised with good time management skills<br>• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills<br>• Professional and approachable manner<br>• Respect for equality, diversity, and inclusion<br>• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times<br>• Full driving licence (desirable)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training and Development:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As an apprentice, you will receive support through both on-the-job learning and formal training as part of your apprenticeship programme. This will typically include:</p>\n<p><br>· Study towards a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician qualification<br>· Hands-on experience supporting IT systems across multiple schools<br>· Mentoring from experienced IT professionals<br>· Regular progress reviews and development support</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?</span> The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?</span> Potential progression into permanent IT support roles within the Trust or wider IT sector, subject to performance and organisational needs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Pre-employment checks: Please be aware that upon a successful offer of employment, the organisation will complete right-to-work checks and an enhanced DBS check.
