Description
> Maintain a full-time workload (equivalent of 15 credit hours per term) which may include teaching in the Health Studies Programs to include classroom, clinical, laboratory courses,simulation-based courses, clinical coordination, and site engagement; Prepare syllabi and develop curricula for lectures, laboratory, and simulation settings to address course and program student learning outcomes and Graduation Competencies, as appropriate; Teach effectively in a traditional, hybrid, and/or online environment, and foster a respectful, inclusive and equitable learning environment Teach Early College and/or dual enrollment high school students in area high schools, including but not limited to Framingham, Millis, Waltham, and/or Milford, or at our Framingham MassBay campus; Provide instruction during high school hours of operation when necessary; Ability to demonstrate clinical procedures Support the Early college/dual enrollment needs via communication and reporting between high school college representatives; collaborate with high school administrators and counselors Serve as an academic advisor to students and maintain office hours; Participate in College, Division, and Program governance, including attending Division, Department, Advisory Committee, and other committee meetings; Participate in the assessment of course and program learning outcomes, participate in curriculum development and continuous program improvement Maintain a safe environment during skills training and evaluation sessions; integrate simulation-based learning and competency checklists. Use the College’s technology platforms to effectively communicate with students and colleagues to enhance the learning experience, as appropriate; Engage in professional development activities to maintain excellence and expertise in classroom/ clinical/simulation teaching; Maintain appropriate paperwork and documentation required by the program and accreditation agencies; This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign additional duties as needed to meet the needs and support the mission of the College. Stay current with professional development activities on their own time; Exhibit current experience and relevancy in the healthcare environment being taught and ensure instruction aligns with relevant industry certification domains (eg, NHA), OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA regulations. Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Dean/Assistant Dean of Health Sciences consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreements; Other duties as assigned. This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign other duties as required to meet the needs and foster the mission of the College.
