This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nuclear medicine services that support accurate diagnosis and effective patient care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Under general supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs professional duties in the application of Nuclear Medicine services. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Performance</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrates competency in preparing patients for procedures and the administration of radioactive materials. </li>\n <li>Correctly performs all prescribed Nuclear Medicine procedures in an efficient manner</li>\n <li>Is able to work independently and critique exams.</li>\n <li>Utilizes good judgment to plan effectively and solve problems.</li>\n <li>Is cognizant of radiation safety to self and others.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competency in the storage and transfer of exams.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates annual competency in the handling, storage and transfer of radiopharmaceuticals.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Patient Care</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides patient education and insures correct consent forms are signed.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates competence in the administration of age appropriate care.</li>\n <li>Obtains and records adequate patient history and interprets  physician's orders correctly.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Correctly orders, tracks and charges exams in a timely fashion.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of JRCERT approved school for Nuclear Medicine and/or Radiologic Technology with equivalent training and experience as required by the licensing bodies.</li>\n <li>The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists/Nuclear Medicine, or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. </li>\n <li>Holds a current license or conditional license from the State of Illinois Emergency Management Agency in Nuclear Medicine, and/or the Iowa Department of Public Health. </li>\n <li>CPR certification required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>*Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.  The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.</em></p>",
