As a leader in children’s health, we engage in meaningful programs and partnerships throughout the region so that we can improve the lives of children beyond the walls of our hospital.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Children's Mercy Department of Social Work, Child and Family Mental Health Services provides programing, which supports families through evidence-based clinical services. Our mental health services are provided for a broad range of patients and families, including children in mental health crisis, parents struggling with child's behavioral problems, children and families who have been impacted by trauma, and children at risk for abuse and neglect. The age range for patients to receive services is as young as 2 and up to 18, or older within the emergency department should there be a need. Goals of treatment may include safety planning, crisis stabilization, skill development, enhanced resiliency, social integration, improved ability of parents to support their child, improved communication, and parenting skills. If you and have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider will provide evidence based mental health treatments to patients and families within the clinical area they are assigned.</li>\n <li>Case Management and Collaboration: The Child and Family Mental Health Provider will maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships. This may include communication with referral sources, service providers, community mental health providers and care team members. as well as, assisting families with accessing community services and transitioning to other treatment providers when needed.</li>\n <li>Professional Development: This Child and Family Mental Health Provider will demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team, department, and hospital by regular attendance at meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant for other members of the department and hospital, participation on committees, and responding to hospital and/or community requests for educational programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Applicants must have MO licensing upon hire.  KS licensing is required within 90 days of hire.</p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Master's Degree and 1-2 years experience</li>\n   <li>LMSW MO Licensed Master's Social Worker MO-If you are hired to work in Missouri, you need to have Missouri License (LMSW/LCSW) or (LPC) upon hire. Within 90 days you must also obtain a Kansas License.</li>\n   <li>LCSW MO Licensed Clinical Social Worker MO-If you are hired to work in Missouri, you need to have Missouri License (LMSW/LCSW) or (LPC) upon hire. Within 90 days you must also obtain a Kansas License.</li>\n   <li>LSCSW MO Licensed Clinical Social Worker Specialist-If you are hired to work in Missouri, you need to have Missouri License (LMSW/LSCSW) or (LCPC) upon hire. Within 90 days you must also obtain a Kansas License.</li>\n   <li>LCPC MO Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor-If you are hired to work in Missouri, you need to have Missouri License (LMSW/LSCSW) or (LCPC) upon hire.
