Description
Role: Programme Leader in Health and Social Care
Location: London Based Campuses
Department: School of Health and Sports Science
Salary: up to 60k per annum subject to skills and experience.
Regent College London (RCL) is a dynamic, forward-thinking independent higher education provider committed to flexibility, choice, and innovation. With vibrant campuses in central London—Fitzrovia and Holborn—alongside multiple North London study centres and an expanding global online presence, we offer a diverse learning community enriched by opportunity and inclusion.
About Us
Regent College London is a leading independent higher education provider, offering flexible and inclusive learning across multiple London campuses. We are student-focused, digitally forward, and committed to academic excellence — reflected in our 90% student satisfaction rating (NSS 2025).
About the Role
As the Programme Leader responsible for and will draw upon your experience to support the Dean of School to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant teaching and learning for your students,
ensuring they have an excellent student experience. You will be part of the academic management
team with responsibility for a programme of study and associated intakes.
There will be an expectation of some teaching commensurate with the role and responsibilities. This role requires
presence on campus when teaching is delivered to your students; a specific work pattern can be
agreed.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Programme Management
Lead the day-to-day delivery of the programme, ensuring an outstanding student experience.
Maintain academic quality and standards in line with partner requirements, including assessment oversight, teaching quality monitoring, and engagement with External Examiners.
Drive curriculum development and continuous improvement, ensuring programme content remains current and aligned with institutional teaching methodologies.
Analyse student performance data to inform annual monitoring and enhancement plans.
Support academic governance through participation in boards and panels (e.g. assessment boards, misconduct panels, annual reviews).
Provide leadership and mentorship to academic staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
Work closely with Faculty Managers and Module Leaders to ensure effective people management and high-quality VLE content.
Contribute to scholarly research within your discipline.
Teaching, Learning & Student Support
Deliver and support high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
Provide timely, constructive feedback and promote assessment literacy and academic integrity.
Identify and support students requiring additional assistance, referring to appropriate services where needed.
Ensure academic misconduct is managed in line with institutional and partner policies.
Compliance Statement
Successful applicants will be required to complete pre-employment checks, including a criminal records check, two references, ID and Right to Work verification, and education confirmation. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity and inclusion, selection for employment is based solely on an individual’s skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role.
