Description

M365 & Power Platform Engineer Overview: Do you want a chance to really make a difference? We are building software to really make the world a greener place. Countries using our services increase their ability to effectively utilise renewable sources of energy. As a Power Platform Engineer, you will work with the Enterprise Technology team, which is responsible for the AWS Cloud, IT, Cyber Security, MS Power Platform Cloud, and internal support domains. You will design and implement solutions which will drive VIOTAS’ global expansion. About VIOTAS: Established in Limerick, Ireland in 2013, VIOTAS set about designing and delivering new innovations to address the challenges posed by increased renewable generation in electrical grids: How can a grid be balanced when a large amount of electricity is coming from unpredictable renewable sources that are difficult to forecast and that change the fundamental principles of how grids operate? In response, VIOTAS developed proprietary technologies that place electricity customers at the core of the solution. By managing their electricity consumption and onsite generation in real-time, VIOTAS help balance the wider electricity grid. The company then aggregates participating customers to form Virtual Power Plants which are traded in the electricity market, competing against conventional fossil fuel power stations. This approach not only generates significant revenue for participating customers but also contributes to reducing carbon emissions. With a global expansion strategy, VIOTAS, currently with over 110 staff, operates in Ireland, Poland, Texas and Australia. We are a highly motivated team that are pushing boundaries to achieve success. We are looking for a driven person who is searching for the same. Key Responsibilities: Design and Build: Develop low-code applications using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI under guidance from senior engineers. Automation and Integration: Create and support workflows and integrations across Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and other systems. Testing and Deployment: Participate in testing, deployment, and optimisation of Power Platform solutions. Monitoring and Support: Assist in monitoring, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing applications and automations. Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for developed solutions and configurations. Security and Governance: Support data access, security, and compliance best practices within Power Platform environments. Artificial Intelligence: Developing solutions utilising generative AI. Data Management: Configure and maintain Dataverse or SharePoint data models to support application performance and reliability. Collaboration: Work with business users and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions. Continuous Learning: Stay current with new Power Platform features and contribute to process improvements. Requirements: Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI Experience with SharePoint Administration Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills. Enthusiasm for automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Desirable: An understanding of how the Microsoft Power Platform can support AI initiatives. Familiarity with data structures and relational databases (Dataverse, SQL, or SharePoint). Basic scripting or coding knowledge (e.g., Power Fx, JavaScript, or Python) is beneficial. Comfortable experimenting with and exploring new technologies, with demonstrable experience applying them in practice. Job Type:  Full-time, permanent. Location:  Hybrid. Salary:   Competitive based on qualifications, experience, and skills. Benefits: Healthcare Pension Self-Directed Training Budget of €3,000 per year plus 10 days training leave Annual performance-based bonus. 25 days annual leave. Death-In-Service benefit.
