    "description": "<h2>About JerseySTEM</h2>\n<p><strong>All JerseySTEM roles are pro-bono (unpaid) positions.</strong>JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro-bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.</p>\n<p>Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a <strong>minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week </strong>and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>This is a pro-bono volunteer position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>JerseySTEM is looking for talented professionals across our departments to commit time and energy as long-term engagement for our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The <strong>Business process specialist</strong> provides and supports the implementation of operational change/process improvement initiatives by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; working closely with these stakeholders to ensure alignment and development of efficient and effective processes in line with strategic business objectives.  They are responsible for gathering, verifying, processing, analyzing and documenting data from organizational departments. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead as the business process re-engineering lead</li>\n <li>Analyzing as-is processes and building as-is process maps via data.io</li>\n <li>Conducting interviews with SMEs to decompose as-is process maps</li>\n <li>Conducting as-is to to-be process map crosswalks and identifying gaps and changes in processes</li>\n <li>Establishes and maintains working relationships within various departments</li>\n <li>Facilitates process analysis discussions with cross functional business users</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong communication/presentation skills to effectively interact with team members, scrum masters and leadership</li>\n <li>Experience building, managing and enforcing standards</li>\n <li>A fast learner who can take on initiatives and ownership</li>\n <li>A logical mind, critical thinking and highly organizational skills are required</li>\n <li>Good analytical skill, self-motivated and good problem solving skills</li>\n <li>Self-motivated, change agent</li>\n <li>Knowledge of data.io preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum time commitment</strong>:  5-7 hours/ week with committed work times, for a minimum 6 months period <strong>Location</strong><strong> : </strong>This position is remote. </p>",
