We are seeking a Valuation Senior Analyst to support the evaluation of greenfield development and M&amp;A investment opportunities across the U.S., with a focus on solar, wind, and energy storage projects.</p><p></p><p>In this role, you’ll build complex financial models, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute directly to key investment decisions that shape our renewable energy pipeline. You’ll work closely with various groups across the organization, gaining exposure to diverse markets and capital structures, while developing deep expertise in renewable project finance.</p><p></p><p>We&#39;re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for clean energy.</p><p></p><p>Must be local or willing to relocate to New York City or Arlington (preference for Arlington).</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities: </b> </p><ul><li><p>Support the valuation of renewable energy projects by building and maintaining robust financial models.</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Collaborate with teams across the business, including Development, M&amp;A, Engineering, and Commercial to assess investment opportunities and identify key risks and value drivers.</p></li><li><p>Help develop and analyze debt, tax equity, and project equity financing structures.</p></li><li><p>Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial metrics presented to senior decision-makers.</p></li><li><p>Partner across teams to develop regional strategies, decision-making tools, and analyses that enhance prioritization and innovation.</p></li><li><p>Participate in continuous improvement of team tools, templates, and processes.</p></li></ul><p><b>Skills and Qualifications: </b> </p><ul><li><p>Exposure to renewable energy finance, including familiarity with U.S. power markets (with a focus on solar, wind, and energy storage).</p></li><li><p>Financial modeling skills, with the ability to manage complex and dynamic financial structures, including debt and tax equity.</p></li><li><p>Good communication and presentation skills—able to clearly explain complex concepts.</p></li><li><p>Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a collaborative mindset, curiosity, and a desire to learn.</p></li><li><p>Committed to fostering a collaborative, respectful, and fun team culture.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education: </b> </p><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Math, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.</p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>AES is an Equal Opportunity Employer who is committed to building strength and delivering long-term sustainability through diversity and inclusion. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave).
