Description
The academic partnerships coordinator role is an essential system-wide position that supports the development and implementation of the academic partnerships strategy. The coordinator implements programs and processes consistent with the three overarching partnerships aims; strengthening academic partnership relationships through mutually beneficial collaboration, innovation, and scholarship; enhancing the student experience through meaningful and transformative learning opportunities; and creating a seamless progression from the student experience to professional roles at Emory HealthCare. The academic partnerships coordinator supports these aims through demonstrating an unwavering commitment to exceeding the expectations of all academic partnerships customers and stakeholders. The academic partnerships coordinator facilitates all student related activities and supports programs that lead to academic progression and career development for team members. This includes coordination and management of experiential learning capacity, student and observer clearance requirements, facilitation of the approval of experiential learning rotations, oversight of various academic partner contracts and effective communication with internal and external leaders, students and faculty. The academic partnerships coordinator is knowledgeable resource for best practices in experiential learning for both internal and external stakeholders.
Enhancing the Student Experience:
Identifies learning opportunities for students, faculty, and academic leaders
Facilitates student and observer placements throughout Emory Healthcare
Facilitates the student and faculty clearance process
Assesses experience of students and faculty during education programs at Emory Healthcare
Aggregates and analyzes data from the student and faculty experience at the conclusion of rotations at Emory Healthcare
Utilizes data to improve the student experience in future learning activities
Remains current with knowledge of best practices related to experiential learning locally, regionally and nationally Strengthening Academic Partner Relationships
Works with faculty and operational leaders to identify learning needs and opportunities for students
Develops relationships with leaders throughout Emory Healthcare to support the fulfillment of key academic partner needs and requests
Engages in timely, customer friendly communications with academic partners
Facilitates the development of collaborative initiatives with key academic partners
Coordinates contract process and keeps all parties informed of the affiliation agreement status
Makes visits to key academic partner campuses to support collaboration Facilitates a Seamless Progression from the Student Experience to Professional Roles at Emory Healthcare
Supports all workforce development programs and shares relevant program information with students, observers, academic pleaders and faculty as appropriate
Tracks intern/extern activity and progression
Supports joint efforts with talent acquisition and academic partnerships (events, recruitment, etc.)
Coordinates career pathways for high school students Makes Meaningful Contribution to Department
Participates in performance improvement and planning activities
Makes suggestions about improving our programs and services
Participates in department meetings and offers constructive feedback and suggestions
Maintains positive and collaborative relationships with colleagues
Additional Duties as Assigned.
Travel:
Less than 20% of the time may be required to travel to all Emory facilities, experiential learning sites, and academic partner institutions.
Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Education - Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or related field Experience - 3 years minimum experience within healthcare, academia or training programs. Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): This role requires a proactive approach in developing innovative solutions to improve processes, enhance student experience, and streamline communication across diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education - Master's Degree in healthcare administration, nursing or related field
Experience - 5 years minimum experience within healthcare, academia, or training programs. Knowledge, skills, and ability requirements (preferred): - The Coordinator Academic Partnerships should have excel skills and excellent communication/customer service skills
