Description

Job overview: Schneider is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician in Green Bay, WI to manage the day-to-day maintenance needs of Schneider’s buildings and grounds. The Senior Facilities Technician will complete repairs, coordinate with maintenance vendors and handle other facilities-related projects. Responsibilities: Act as the facility contact for a Schneider location. Execute preventative maintenance. Respond to facility work requests in a timely manner. Handle all yard maintenance, including snow removal. Take care of cleaning-related tasks. Coordinate and monitor all contractor activities taking place around the building. Solicit quotes from vendors regarding high-cost repairs. Be on call during off hours to assist with facilities-related work, when needed. Skills and qualifications: High school diploma or GED. 2-4 years of related experience. Excellent facilities maintenance skills. Experience working with vendors and contractors. Familiarity with building mechanical systems and construction best practices. Valid driver's license and meet Schneider's DMV record standards. Able to plan and organize activities effectively. Climb stairs and ladders Stand for an extended period of time Use hands, fingers and arms to manipulate tools, parts, and equipment Carry or lift light to moderate objects up to 50 pounds Move, transport, push, pull moderate to heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds Work in a variety of environments including office, mechanical / electrical rooms, kitchen, yard, or warehouse. Work in various types of weather including hot, cold, rain, or snow. Walk safely on all surface types Pay and benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance.
