Title:           Crew Liaison Unit:                               ATLAS Hope Program Salary:                           $32.30 - $32.97 per hour Reports to:                  Crew Manager Status:                          Full Time; Regular, Non-Exempt Days/Hours:                Monday - Friday ,  9:00am to 5:00pm Position Summary ATLAS Hope aims to add to the existing community violence intervention and prevention strategies in New York City by creating a continuum of care for adult men most likely to engage in serious community violence and least likely to receive the supportive services necessary to end cycles of trauma and violence. The ATLAS Hope program aims to meet the economic, emotional, and mental health needs of adult men, ages 25 and older who have had a history of trauma, lived experience with violence, and involvement in the criminal legal system by providing outreach, transitional employment, behavioral health supports delivered primarily through CBI, and coaching and case management. Crew Liaisons are responsible for supervising, supporting, and inspiring ATLAS Hope participants who are engaged in transitional employment through a trauma-informed and restorative justice lens on and off the worksite and during remote sessions, and adhering to the model prescribed by UWNYC, philosophies and approaches, manuals and policies, exude a collegial nature that is rooted in authentic engagement, and relish in the opportunity to collaborate with members across teams proactively. Crew Liaisons will be energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive. Crew Liaisons will act as team leaders and positive role models who positively and productively support transitional workers. Crew Liaisons will escort and/or transport the crew team to their designated work site location daily, as scheduled. Crew Liaisons support participants during their worksite experiences as they learn new soft skills and practice the teachings of the Cognitive Behavioral Intervention curriculum.  The position requires an understanding of the challenges faced by men of color with gang involvement and the ability to motivate and use challenges as teachable lessons. Mission, Culture and Fit The CC must meet our participants where they are, demonstrating our company's values through compassion and understanding; and affirming that none of us should be measured against the worst things we have done. Attention to Detail The CC must demonstrate competency to   develop systems and processes to organize and keep track of information or work progress; is routinely conscientious, thorough, accurate and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; and recognizes trends, detects inconsistencies, and determines essential details. CC must communicate needs and areas of support effectively with their colleagues and Crew Manager. Ability to multi-task is preferable. Collaboration The CCs must collaborate and coordinate with one another to provide care and support to those who need higher levels of supervision and/or more support in developing the soft skills required for their job assignment. Additionally, the CCs will need to collaborate with all ATLAS Hope team members to effectively support them in managing their participants and ensure attention to coordination in care for other services they might be receiving. This will ensure that individuals are not only receiving the wrap-around services necessary to move forward, but to ensures that the CC is addressing all social and emotional needs of the participant required for them to move forward with their pathway plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate, supervise, and support transitional workers in work experience; Supervise and support a work crew of 5-10 transitional workers in the performance of a variety of low-barrier tasks and work sites; Maintain open communication with the Crew Manager regarding crew locations and activities; Develop individualized goals and tasks to enhance workers' skills and experiences; In collaboration with the Crew Manager, develop work schedules and responsibilities, ensuring safety and efficiency; Ensure safety protocols are followed, monitoring worksites for hazardous conditions and monitoring workers for appropriate use of tools and materials; Ensure work vehicles are fully equipped with the necessary work and safety equipment; Model safe and positive workplace behavior and work readiness skills (teamwork, conflict resolution, positive attitude, timeliness, etc.); Provide transitional workers with coaching and guidance on positive work behaviors, delivering constructive correction when necessary; Transport transitional workers to and from job sites in a company vehicle, adhering to safety protocols; Effectively represent the program to community members and employers during the work experience, serving as the primary liaison with worksite personnel; Complete the Daily Feedback tool accurately and timely and provide constructive feedback to transitional workers; Utilize trauma-informed practices to support participants; establish constructive relationships with participants as a positive role model; Participate in collaborative meetings to assess participant progress and plan services. Ensure that relevant information is shared with the team to aid in service planning; Participate in regular, ongoing professional development opportunities including: trainings, skill practice, and receiving ongoing coaching and feedback; Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required New York State Driver's License Travel throughout New York City is required Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; Skilled communicator who is able to liaise interdepartmentally as well as with community partners and stakeholders; Ability to work a flexible schedule;  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Outlook and Office 365; Ability to work independently and on a team; Having a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history is preferred; Experience working with the community in the South Bronx, a plus; Experience and/or desire to work with a culturally diverse population; and We seek talented, dedicated individuals from all walks of life who possess a strong commitment to this mission. Relevant personal experience is a plus. Travel Requirements:  Travel throughout the New York City is required.
