Our commitment to excellence stems from our personal integrity and from other defining attributes, which we call “Dewberry at Work,” that have inspired our employees to be successful for more than a half-century.</em></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide field oversight of subsurface investigation programs, including soil borings, field classification of soils and rock, in-situ testing, geologic mapping, and geophysical testing</li>\n <li>Interprets laboratory test results to determine design parameters</li>\n <li>Develop and provide oversight of geotechnical instrumentation programs and data collection including conventional piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, and tiltmeters.</li>\n <li>Evaluates, selects and determines appropriate foundation solutions for complex sites</li>\n <li>Performs geotechnical and foundation related designs calculations for transportation projects including slope stability, settlement, deep and shallow foundations, retaining walls, and support of excavation systems.</li>\n <li>Prepares Subsurface Exploration and Soils Laboratory Testing Program submissions, Foundation Design Recommendations and other geotechnical related reports.</li>\n <li>Review Contractor design and construction submittals</li>\n <li>Attend on site observations of construction activities, including pile driving, subgrade preparation, installation of monitoring instrumentation</li>\n <li>Collaborates with both junior and senior level staff to accomplish goals</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Skills & Required Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in geotechnical engineering), MS or PhD degree preferred</li>\n <li>Ideal experience would be 3-5 years of diverse geotechnical experience, including transportation project experience, preferably for PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), and/or design-build.</li>\n <li>EIT is required.</li>\n <li>Experience in building and bridge foundations, pavement design, slope stability/stabilization, and ground improvement/modification design and construction. </li>\n <li>Familiarity with geotechnical design software including gINT/OpenGround, Ensoft LPILE/APILE/GROUP, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, SLIDE2, GRLWEAP, ct-Shoring, or similar</li>\n <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li>\n <li>A desire to work in a team environment </li>\n <li> A clean driving record is required</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Don’t meet every single requirement?
