The hospital offers a wide range of specialty services and is committed to providing high-quality patient care, advanced technology, and community-focused healthcare.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Clinical Care</p>\n<p>Provide comprehensive radiation oncology services including consultation, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management for oncology patients.</p>\n<p>Evaluate patients to determine appropriate radiation therapy protocols.</p>\n<p>Develop individualized radiation treatment plans using advanced technologies and evidence-based guidelines.</p>\n<p>Administer and oversee external beam radiation therapy, stereotactic radiation, and other advanced modalities as available.</p>\n<p>Monitor treatment response and manage potential side effects of radiation therapy.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Multidisciplinary Collaboration</p>\n<p>Work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate integrated cancer care.</p>\n<p>Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and oncology case conferences.</p>\n<p>Collaborate with radiation therapists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists to ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation treatments.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Program Development & Quality</p>\n<p>Support continued development and growth of the cancer program at Central Maine Medical Center.</p>\n<p>Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and accreditation standards for oncology services.</p>\n<p>Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Community & Education</p>\n<p>Engage in community outreach, patient education, and cancer awareness initiatives.</p>\n<p>Participate in teaching opportunities if affiliated with medical education programs.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Education</p>\n<p>MD or DO from an accredited medical school.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Training</p>\n<p>Completion of an accredited Radiation Oncology residency program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Board Certification</p>\n<p>Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Licensure</p>\n<p>Eligible for or able to obtain a Maine medical license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Experience</p>\n<p>Experience with modern radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning systems preferred.</p>\n<h2>Pay Transparency</h2>\n<p>CMH actively promotes diversity in its workforce at all levels of the organization.
