Description
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Relations, this position provides administrative and coordination support to SIGA’s Board of Directors through the management of logistics, communications, and the effective flow of information.
Responsibilities
Coordinating logistics for Board Members, meetings, and committees; maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of Board activities, decisions, expenses, correspondence, and related documentation; monitoring agenda items and following up on action items to support timely completion; fostering effective communication between the Board, its Committees and senior management; coordinating, preparing and monitoring legal and compliance-related activities; supporting adherence to organizational policies, and contributing to additional projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful completion of a diploma or degree (e.g., Law, Business Administration/Commerce, Governance or related field). Professional designation (e.g., Corporate Secretary, Governance Professional, ICD.D) considered an asset. Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting Boards, governance committees, or executive leadership. Experience in corporate, government, or nonprofit sector. Knowledge of First Nations culture and ability to lead in a manner consistent with First Nations values. Superior skills in Microsoft Office including Sharepoint. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The ability to plan independently and proactively engage across large teams. The ability to manage workflow, priorities, work well under pressure and be flexible. Self-motivated and exceptional attention to detail with a desire to provide excellent customer service.
