    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY: </strong>Under the supervision of a board-certified pathologist, the Pathologists' Assistant will play a central role in the gross examinations and dissections of anatomic pathology specimens contributing to accurate and timely diagnoses for our patients.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education: </strong>Master of Health Sciences (MHS) or equivalent degree from an accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program.  </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Experience: </strong>1-2 years of experience in a high-volume surgical pathology laboratory preferred. Experience with intraoperative consultation and frozen section technique. Familiar with laboratory information system including CERNER and COPATH. </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge and Skills: </strong>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation.  Strong written and verbal communication skills. Team player with a professional and patient-centered approach.  Commitment to ongoing professional development.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>License/Certifications: </strong>PA (ASCP) Certification or eligible to sit for certification.  If eligible for certification, must obtain within one year of hire or transfer.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Equipment: </strong>Able to operate and maintain pathology equipment and instruments.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong>Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay Range:</strong></p>\n<p>$42.34-$63.50</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change.  Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills.  For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.</em></strong></p>",
