This position is working with children, adolescents, and adults with various conditions in a rehabilitation center setting.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>BASIC FUNCTION:</strong> Responsible for the evaluation, treatment, education, consultation, records and reports as required. The Occupational Therapist assesses the status of a patient, determines etiology and symptoms, and plans and executes treatment and goals in Occupational Therapy. This is coordinated with the total medical treatment plan for the patient.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Meets the patient&rsquo;s goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results: determining occupational therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians, and by prescription. Helps patients accomplish treatment plan and secures necessary assistive equipment/supplies for patients to facilitate independence.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Administers occupational therapy treatments according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physician.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Evaluates effect of occupational therapy treatments by observing, noting and evaluating patient&rsquo;s progress: providing necessary treatment plan modifications.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Documents patient care services by charting in patient&rsquo;s records according to accepted regulatory and professional guidelines. Records daily treatment charges. Maintains patient confidence and keeps information confidential.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Protects patients and associates by adhering to infection control policies and protocols. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with department procedures, rules and regulation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
