    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company is seeking a General Superintendent. The <strong>General Superintendent</strong> is responsible for the overall field on a large project, leading a team of superintendents to ensure that company policies and procedures are met in regard to safety, scheduling, budget, quality and customer satisfaction. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensures that the day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and their sub-contractors turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule </li>\n <li>Manages the project budget for general conditions and site services </li>\n <li>Develops, documents and communicates the work plan regarding changes made in the field </li>\n <li>Maintains a thorough understanding of contract documents to be able to plan ahead and anticipate potential problems before they arise </li>\n <li>Obtains or verifies that the subcontractors obtain all necessary permits for construction purposes </li>\n <li>Verifies safety compliance with all trades; acts as primary safety representative in the field and enforce quality control policies </li>\n <li>Conducts maintenance and planning of “work-arounds,” shutdowns and tie-ins </li>\n <li>Establishes credibility among owners, trade contractors, unions etc. by maintaining a fair and trustworthy environment </li>\n <li>Leads contractor meetings on a regular basis </li>\n <li>Oversees daily reports and documentation using Procore </li>\n <li>Creates, manages, and updates the project schedule, create and implement contingency plans when necessary </li>\n <li>Communicates schedule status, updates, and changes to Project Team and Trade Contractors </li>\n <li>Plans, coordinates and manages jobsite logistics </li>\n <li>Oversees project quality plan and implements necessary changes </li>\n <li>Resolves jurisdictional disputes </li>\n <li>Tracks production as needed </li>\n <li>Executes self-performing capabilities, workforce planning, and quantifying material needs </li>\n <li>Handles forecasting and projecting cost of work </li>\n <li>Aids in the development of project team </li>\n <li>Trains direct reports on processes, procedures and completion of daily tasks  </li>\n <li>Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards  </li>\n <li>Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members </li>\n <li>Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management </li>\n <li>10-15 years of experience on a $15-50+ million commercial/ industrial construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role </li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong technical and communication skills </li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills </li>\n <li>Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs </li>\n <li>Ability to work in a team environment </li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore </li>\n <li>Knowledge of construction-documenting and drawing, with knowledge of all phases of construction </li>\n <li>Proficient in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control </li>\n <li>Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan </li>\n <li>Must be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude </li>\n <li>Ability to supervise a project team </li>\n <li>OSHA 30 hour certified </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.</p>\n<p>The pay ranges from $130,000.00-$200,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services has an unwavering focus on safety, the environment and caring about everyone involved in our work. </em></p>\n<p><em>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</em></p>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services is not accepting unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters at this time.</em></p>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
